Today marks the 38th anniversary of one of my favorite guitarist's all-too-soon death. I think it fitting that we take a few minutes to pay homage to the inspired brilliance that was Duane Allman.

Remember Duane Allman! Thanks for bringing that up today, and thanks for the link to Whipping Post. In the spirit of the day I will burn a DVD copy of The ABB at Fillmore East September 1970 where this footage was taken from to anyone who wants a copy.

Check out this clip from the Love Valley Festival July 1970 and eat a peach for peace!

Thanks for posting. Currently streaming a show from 9/16/71 at the Warehouse in N.O. courtesy of sugarmegs. Tape notes state that this is one of only 3 know shows where Duane plays on Blue Sky. Haven't gotten to that yet, but what I have heard of it so far sounds good. If only it could be D/L'd.

Skydawg...
I'd like to take you up on your kind offer of the DVD. Where can I sign up????

Check out that he says "Brad" and his name is "Brett"

But more importantly:

Butch: You okay?

Marsellus: Naw man. I'm pretty fuckin' far from okay.

Butch: What now?

Marsellus: What now? Let me tell you what now. I'ma call a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' niggers, who'll go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on your ass.

Butch: I meant what now between me and you?

Marsellus: Oh, that what now. I tell you what now between me and you. There is no me and you. Not no more.
